Synopsis

I had assumed I was an illegitimate child, but it turned out I was a complete outsider! After a year of being an insignificant extra, I discovered I was on the brink of expulsion. Deciding to take matters into my own hands, I chose to leave the house willingly.

"Actually, this child is my daughter, isn't that right?" Out of nowhere, I had piqued the interest of a seemingly psychopathic duke. Rumor had it that he was generous enough to shower those he fancied with wealth beyond measure, enough to purchase an island.

Assuming I could inherit his fortune, I played along as his dutiful daughter, planning to eventually leave with a hefty bank balance. "Stay by my side until I say otherwise," he commanded. Despite treating me like a mere plaything, the duke began to crave my company, impeding my departure.

After returning home due to his persuasion, an unexpected tug-of-war ensued for my adoption. Relatives rallied around me, and future suitors developed strange obsessions. To add to the chaos, the position of the duke was presented to me as a birthday gift. "Happy Birthday, Ayrin. You're the head as of today."

Everything was proceeding according to my plan, but then an unfamiliar voice rang in my ears. "Hey, how long are you going to sleep? Grandma told you to take your retainer off!" followed by "Cha Miso, you're going to die!"

What was happening? Could I handle this?
